Satrix Divi
The Satrix Dividend Plus tracks the FTSE/JSE Dividend Plus Index. This index selects the best 30 dividend paying companies, from the top 100 large and mid-cap
companies on the JSE. The companies in the Dividend Plus Index are weighted
according to their forecasted dividend yield. Selecting companies on their
ability to sustain high dividend payments is regarded, around the world, as an investment strategy which has a high success ratio.
The Satrix Divi provides a higher than average dividend yield (currently around
4,5% per annum) and holds the promise of outperformance, as the companies that pay
the highest dividends could be re-rated relative to the rest of the market, because
of their strong cashflows and high earnings/dividend yield.
The Satrix Divi appeals to
investors seeking both yield (dividends are paid 4 times
per year) and capital growth.
